Christmas Lights 2021

This year the Christmas Tree Lights switch on will be held on Saturday 4th December at 5.45pm.

We are holding our Santa's Grotto again this year (pre-booking only - see below) as well as the gift fayre (5pm in the Village Hall), and serving hot mulled wine and festive refreshments, we also have a crepe van and burgers and fish and chips too!  A local community choir is also coming along to sing outside by the tree for the tree lights switch on which this year will be at 5.45pm due to the bus times. We don't have a road closure this year as it is requires a lot of volunteers to man.

Any events being held will be in accordance with Covid restrictions in place at the time.

Santa's Grotto is PRE-BOOKING ONLY this year so that we do not have a long queue and people queuing together inside waiting to see Santa so please book early to avoid disappointment https://calendly.com/carnondownsvillage/santa-s-grotto-visit

Volunteers needed!

Thank you so much as always to all the local businesses and people who help us with providing the lights display, especially residents who allow us to plug the lights into their electric!

What we really need though is more volunteers to help us put up the lights, all you need is to be willing and if possible bring along some tools. We will make a start on putting up the lights during weekends in November, if you'd be able to help please get in touch via email carnondownsvillage@gmail.com  or just come and find us in the hi-viz jackets!  Following last years Covid restricted display some residents have kindly agreed to put their own lights up again which has been a great help.

Thank you :)
