This year the Christmas Tree Lights switch on will be

held on Saturday 2nd December 2023.

We are holding our Santa's Grotto again this year (pre-booking only -

see below) as well as the Christmas Gift fayre (4.30pm to 6.30pm in the

Village Hall), and serving hot mulled wine and festive refreshments,

we also have a crepe van and burgers and fish and chips too! 

There will also be live music from a local choir.

Tregye Road will be closed from the junction of Park View Close to Forth Coth between 5.30pm and 6.30pm for the Tree Lights switch on.

Santa's Grotto is PRE-BOOKING ONLY to avoid long queues that we know is no fun for anyone - that way you can turn up at your time slot and not miss any of the other activities on the switch on night - please book early to avoid disappointment.

Volunteers needed!

Thank you so much as always to all the local businesses and people who help us with providing the lights display, especially residents who allow us to plug the lights into their electric!  

​

What we really need though is more volunteers to help us put up the lights, all you need is to be willing and if possible bring along some tools. We will make a start on putting up the lights during weekends in November, if you'd be able to help please get in touch via email carnondownsvillage@gmail.com  or just come and find us in the hi-viz jackets!

We are putting up the lights on the mornings of Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th November and Sunday 26th November - if you can help please come along to the village hall from 10am.
